- Well, I played around with the Marble texture to produce a really cool
- looking Jacob's Ladder (the spark that climes up between two poles).
- Basically I futzed with the Marble to get a good looking white on black
- vein. After I had that I had a great sparck with no arc to it. So I
- made a rectangle of lots of polygons and saved it with the above
- texture. Then I bent it into an arc and saved the new version with the
- texture. A simple object morph with Morph Surfaces turned on gave me the
- arc that I was looking for.
-
- I didn't need to, but if you plan on passing this type of object over any
- others, the black part will block your view. You may want to create an
- image sequence that can then be mapped and clipped.
-
- Write me personal email if you want me to actually give you some details.
